In Lamlash, there are plenty of activities to choose from, all within walking distance from Arran Shores. A choice of golf, tennis, bowling, putting, sailing, kayaking, a snorkel trail, boat trips to the Holy Isle from Lamlash Pier), and beautiful coastal and woodland walks will mean that you are never stuck for something to do. Further afield, there are many more outdoor and indoor activities and attractions across the island and a good starting point to discover all that the island has to offer is: VisitArran.

The Arran bus services run frequently throughout the day, right across the island:

• 322 - Brodick, Balmichael, Shiskine, Blackwaterfoot.
• 323 - Brodick, Lamlash, Whiting Bay, Kildonan, Lagg, Corriecravie.
• 324 - Brodick, Corrie, Sanox, Lochranza, Catacol, Pirnmill, Imachar, Dougarie, Machrie.

The Stagecoach website has excellent resources for how to explore the island and visit the main attractions by bus, as well as the best value tickets on offer.

The closest bus stop is less than a 5min walk, at Lamlash Bowling Green, next to the Drift Inn.

Check-in is from 4pm. Prior to your arrival, you will be given a 4-digit code that will unlock both the communal entrance door and your apartment door. This code is unique to you and will be activated for your arrival, from 4pm.

Check-out is by 11am and we kindly ask you to adhere to this to ensure that we have enough time to get the apartments ready for our next guests. Your access code will only remain active until 11am on the day of your departure.

By car - exit Brodick ferry terminal, turn left up the hill out of Brodick (A841/Main Street) and follow the road for approximately three miles until you reach Lamlash. As you come down the hill and reach the sea, there is a sharp bend with a junction signposted Arran War Memorial Hospital to the left, turn left here onto Clauchlands Road, and you will immediately see the Arran Shores church conversion. There is onsite private parking with one allocated space per apartment.

By bus - from Brodick ferry terminal, the 323/323A buses (south island route) take you from Brodick to Lamlash.  Buses meet most ferries and there are regular buses running throughout the day.

Whilst we love dogs, we unfortunately cannot accept dogs here at Arran Shores. We have taken this decision based upon the nature of our properties and grounds, and consideration of guest allergies.

The closest charging point location is less than a 5-min walk, at the Clockhouse Car Park, KA27 8LN, next to the Drift Inn. Additional charging points can be found further long in the village at the Ship House Car Park, KA27 8LU, just after The Glenisle.

There are currently three ferry crossings to the Isle of Arran:

• Ardrossan in Ayrshire to Brodick (bookable)
• Troon in Ayrshire to Brodick (bookable)
• Claonaig in Kintyre to Lochranza (Turn Up and Go)

The main ferry terminal on Arran is Brodick and less than 3 miles from Arran Shores. For more detailed information on the ferries along with timetables, please visit the CalMac website. We strongly advise you to book as early as possible to guarantee your preferred sailing and we also recommend that you monitor the CalMac service status and subscribe to the live updates prior to, and especially on, your date of travel.

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover the costs associated with ferry cancellations and any other unforeseen events within the booking process.

All apartments have an iron and ironing board located in the hall cupboard.

Arran Shores has onsite private parking with one allocated space per apartment.

The Drift Inn is the closest and less than a 5-minute walk. It sits right on the shorefront with stunning views from its beer garden. The Pierhead Tavern, The Glenisle, Lamlash Bay Hotel Restaurant and Duncan’s On The Green at Lamlash Golf Club, are also only a 5 to 10-minute walk.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the apartments, building or grounds. This also includes the use of vapes and E-Cigarettes.

Beautiful island-made toiletries are provided, complimentary, for use during your stay. If you wish to purchase any to take home with you, these can be bought along at Home Farm in Brodick (ARRAN Sense of Scotland, Home Farm, Brodick, KA27 8DD. Tel: 01770 302 595).

Towels are provided for use in the apartments, but we kindly ask you to bring your own beach and swimming towels for use outside.

There are regular trains from Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour station which is situated right at the ferry terminal. Trains also go from Glasgow Central to Troon town centre where a shuttle bus will take you to the ferry terminal.

Our primary concern is your safety and if there are warnings issued around travel, we would ask you to make sensible decisions around delaying trips where required. If this affects your booking, we would hope that you can just start your holiday a little later than expected.
